先月の旅行で動物園に行ったときの写真です。
Fennec Foxという小ぶりのキツネです。

売店のスタッフが20ドルでお値打ちだから是非買っていけとすすめるので買ってきたのが下のぬいぐるみです。
耳のタグはちょっと見にくいかもしれませんが、Fennec Foxのぬいぐるみとして売られています。
これ、似てますか？
Fennec Foxのぬいぐるみ
犬のようではありますが、犬にしてはやけに大きな耳だし、不自然なほど長い尻尾が付いています。かといってFennec Foxだと言い切るには微妙に似てないし、なかなか捉えどころのないぬいぐるみです。
タグの説明文にはこう書かれています。

なるほど、耳の大きさは理屈どおりにデザインされているし、足裏の毛は忠実な再現です。尻尾の先が黒くなっているのは本物同様です。
ヒゲがないのは惜しいけど、考え方次第ではよく出来たぬいぐるみかもしれません。
で、改めてじっくり見ると、・・・、う〜ん、やっぱり似てないなぁ。
